Want to know the best equipment for at home workouts that every mom should have? These are the tested and approved products every busy mom should have in their at home gym!
The postpartum pooch just won’t disappear? Yea well mine won’t either. Two kids and 15 years later I still find myself working so freaking hard to get this flab gone. A full-time working mom or the stay-at-home mom (both have superpowers) have very little time to get anything done yet alone make it to the gym. I’ll admit – I am a bit inconsistent and that’s probably why this pooch won’t disappear. It’s not that I don’t want to hit the gym and workout but like every other mom, I am busy and have very little time to eat and pee let alone go to the gym for an hour.
I have found that in the end these three pieces of equipment give me that accomplished gym feeling in my very own home! These are not professional equipment for at home workouts suggestions. These are affordable and also work well in small spaces. So… for the mom who has little to no time and doesn’t want to break the bank on gym equipment, I found that these are the top 3 best tools. In this post you will learn about the best gym equipment for your at home workout, I will share two different exercises that you can incorporate into your home workout regime, and a free printable that will help you track your workouts and meals!
This post is all about the top 3 best gym equipment for at home workouts.
Best Gym Equipment For At Home Workouts
- Resistant Bands
I will be honest – I prefer Pilates 3 days a week. The slight problem is Pilates is expensive, it’s hard to get there, and an at home Pilates kit (with foldable reformer) is expensive. These resistance bands are not my favorite in the sense that I am totally afraid they will pop, ha! But they are great for what they are designed to do. They have my legs feeling like a cardio sculpt day.
- Dumbell’s
We all know what dumbbells are. No need to even discuss but, I will share how they have been effective for me and possibly for you too. I usually use them for triceps and bicep exercises as well as pelvic thrusts/lifts (for the booty). Dumbbells can be used in place of a weight bar which means you can get close to a full gym workout using these (i.e. exercises like squats or deadlifts depending on the weight).
- Yoga Mat
I don’t know about you but I don’t like doing ab crunches on the carpet or wood floor. Yoga mats elevate your at home workout experience. I can’t explain the feeling but you tend to feel more “workout official” with a yoga mat. In the summer I like to workout outside so… yoga mat v. concrete driveway? Yea, I’m taking the yoga mat. It’s soft and cushiony and has grips that will keep you from sliding. I like to wear Pilates socks when doing my workouts because that also helps keep me close to the mat and will help with sliding while working out.
